In lieu of our regular adult class, this Wednesday we will have a time of communal prayer and Scripture reading together as we embark upon this new year! We did this at the beginning of 2024 and it was a very special and cherished time. We will have fitting Scripture readings interspersed with prompted prayers–for church unity; our children; our teens; our shut-ins + elderly members; our local community; our mission; families battling cancer; and the Lafayette leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hebrews 4:14-16: “Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are\u2014yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God\u2019s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
